Era la metà dell'800 quando Bortolo Zanin aprì una locanda, in cui offriva tra le varie pietanze e bevande locali, anche lo "spirito bianco". La gente di Zugliano si appassionò alle "graspe" a tal punto che Bortolo decise di iniziare ad ampliare la produzione del distillato. Negli anni '40, con la locanda ormai chiusa, il figlio Rino proseguì l'opera di ampliamento della distilleria e invecchiamento, portando alla notorietà il brand Cavallina Bianca.  Negli anni '70 con Fausto Zanin l'azienda si espande all'estero, in 38 nazioni. Oggi la distilleria è guidata da Piero Zanin e dal cognato Massimo Fontana, che hanno ampliato la produzione nella nuova sede di Zugliano, restaurando la vecchia filanda acquisita dal padre Fausto. Quattro generazioni legate da un'unica passione, raccontata nell'essenza di ogni goccia etichettata Zanin 1895.

The guided visit

It was the mid-19th century when Bortolo Zanin opened an inn, where he offered among the various local dishes and drinks, even the “white spirit”. People of Zugliano became passionate about “graspe”, for that reason Bortolo decided to start and expand the production of the distillate. In the 40s, with the inn now closed, his son Rino continued the expansion of the distillery and aging, bringing the Cavallina Bianca brand to fame. In the 70s with Fausto Zanin the company expanded abroad, in 38 countries. Today the distillery is led by Piero Zanin and his brother-in-law Massimo Fontana, who have expanded production in the new headquarter in Zugliano, restoring the old spinning mill acquired by his father Fausto. Four generations linked by a single passion, told in essence of each drop labeled Zanin 1895.
