Barrique di fine ‘800 in legno con cerchi in ferro dalla capacità di c.a. 100 lt. intarsiate a mano con l’effige che contraddistingue il mondo enologico “Dio Bacco”. Sopra sono posati i martelli che, ancora oggi, vengono utilizzati per battere i cerchi delle botti. I cerchi si battono in quanto contengono e raccolgono la doghe di legno (listelli) da cui sono formate le botti, battendoli le doghe si comprimono tra loro creando un recipiente che una volta riempito diventa a tenuta stagna.
Late 19th century hand-carved barriques and cooper’s hammer
Barriques of the end of 800 in wood with iron rims from the capacity of c.a. 100 liters. Inlaid by hand with the effigy that distinguishes the wine world "Dio Bacco". Above are laid the hammers that, even today, are used to beat the hoops of the barrels. The circles beat because they contain and collect the wooden staves (strips) from which the barrels are formed. By beating them, the staves compress each other creating a container that once filled becomes watertight.
